As part of the Desk and Meeting room booking process you will be required to accept the below agreement, you consent to your details being registered for WHS emergency purposes and agree to the terms and conditions of using the Brisbane Business Hub (BBH) space outlined below.
Coworking Drop-in Desks
The Brisbane Business Hub (BBH) drop-in space is intended for business purposes and working professionals only, not for personal leisure or any other non-business related activity. It is designed for occasional or ad hoc use rather than routine, everyday use, with maximum usage per individual not to exceed two days per week. Our staff reserves the right to enforce this policy and deny entry if this limit is exceeded or if the intended use does not align with the purpose of the BBH.
Please make sure to book your coworking desk using our booking system which can be located HERE. Upon arrival, check in within 10 minutes of your booking start time to avoid cancellation and the release of your desk to others.
Dress Code Guidelines
To enter the BBH you must be in business smart casual attire.
Definition of Business Smart Casual:
- Smart casual attire combines elements of traditional business wear with more relaxed, comfortable clothing, striking a balance between professionalism and informality.
- Appropriate footwear must be worn at all times whilst in the BBH. Staff reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone not adhering to our dress code guidelines.
Respect Personal Space and Boundaries
- Keep noise levels at a reasonable volume to avoid disturbing others.
- Headphones must be used for music or video calls to minimize disruptions.
- Avoid phone conversations in the hallways, as it may cause disruptions to others. There are designated areas for you to take your calls if required.
- Respect others’ designated work areas and belongings.
- Meeting rooms are available for booking, subject to availability, via the booking link.
- Avoid engaging in aggressive or disrespectful behaviour towards others.
- Refrain from using offensive language or making inappropriate jokes.
- Respect cultural differences and practice sensitivity and inclusivity.
General Cleanliness
- No food is allowed in the BBH drop-in space or meeting rooms.
- Clean up after yourself in common areas and shared facilities.
- Avoid leaving food, rubbish, or personal items in shared spaces.
- Keep your daily designated workspace tidy and organised.
Kitchen/Breakout Areas
- The breakout kitchen is available to BBH users.
- All food must be consumed in the kitchen area
- Please assist us by keeping our kitchens clean and tidy
- Rinse and place dirty cutlery and bowls into the dishwasher after use.
- The furniture in the breakout and kitchen areas must not be moved/removed.
Business Lounge
- The Business Lounge is an area for reading papers, and having a coffee.
- Avoid using speakerphone or engaging in loud conversations.
- Please respect our furniture by not placing your feet on the lounge chairs or tables.
- Furniture from this area must not be moved/removed.
Meeting Rooms
- Meeting rooms are bookable for a maximum of 60-minute per booking and a maximum of 2 hours per week per person.
- If you wish to enter a meeting room you must have a booking, which can be made HERE, and it is to be used for meetings, either in person, virtual or phone, only.
- To take a phone call, or to work quietly you may do so in the phone booths provided in the communal area. Please consider other guests requiring these spaces when doing so.
- Upon arrival, check in within 10 minutes of your booking start time to avoid cancellation and the release of your Booking to others.
- Meeting rooms should be left clean after use e.g. whiteboards should be left clean, and furniture should not be moved/removed.
Personal belongings
We recommend that you don’t leave your personal belongings such as laptops or mobile phones unattended, this will be done at your own risk.
Be Mindful of Others
- Use meeting rooms, where available for extended conversations.
- Avoid using speakerphone or engaging in loud conversations in open areas.
- Be aware of cultural differences and practice sensitivity and inclusivity.
Collaboration and Networking
Encourage a friendly and supportive atmosphere for networking and collaboration. Offer help or guidance to others if you are able to do so.
Internet Usage
Please limit bandwidth-intensive activities and avoid streaming large files and downloads that could slow down the internet for others. Be considerate and mindful that the internet is provided for business purposes, not for recreational use.
Comply with Directions and Rules
The Brisbane Business Hub is committed to providing & maintaining a safe workplace to everyone entering our offices. Please cooperate with all staff directions and BBH rules in our workplaces.
Our Intellectual Property
You must not use our intellectual property for any purpose other than accessing The Brisbane Business Hub or complying with these Terms and Conditions, without Our prior permission.
Security, Admission and Removal of Persons
We may at any time, in Our absolute discretion, refuse admission of You or any other person to the Brisbane Business Hub and direct You or any other person to leave the Brisbane Business Hub.
Damage
You agree to pay Us within 14 days of a demand being made by Us for the cost of repairing or making good any damage to the Brisbane Business Hub, furnishings fittings, fixtures, common or shared spaces or loss of any Equipment, furnishings (including wallpaper, painted surfaces, floors) or other items arising out of or incidental to your use of Services other than damage caused by events outside your control.
Use resources wisely, such as but not limited to electricity and water, communal consumables and crockery.
Recycle or dispose of waste properly in the Kitchen areas.
All Visitors are required to agree to these guidelines to ensure a harmonious and conducive environment.
